Returning any unwanted items

We understand sometimes you just need to return something, rest assured as long as an item is  unworn, still in its original condition, packaging and labels are intact, we accept returns, subject to the rules outlined below. None of these rules affect your statutory rights.

We offer a returns policy of a full refund of the items within 7 days of purchase. (Note: refunds are issued by way of the original payment method.) We can offer you an exchange within 14 days of purchase if we have the stock to facilitate the request, if not then we will offer you a credit note as a form of resolution. Anything outside these terms, unfortunately, will not be accepted.

Returns outside of the 14 day period
We don't accept returns for unwanted items after the relevant returns period above. If you try to make a return outside of this time, we may have to send it back to your default delivery address and ask you to cover the delivery costs.

Proof of postage
Any returned parcel remains your responsibility until it arrives back with us, ensure that you get proof of postage in case you need to contact us about your return.

Original condition
It's obviously fine to try items on, to see if they fit and how they look, but please don't actually wear them. If an item is returned to us damaged, worn, washed or in an unsuitable condition, we won't be able to give you a refund or exchange it and we may have to send it back to you (and ask you to cover the delivery costs). All items are inspected on return. All returned items should be sent in their original condition and packaging where possible, including tags (e.g., shoes should be returned with the original shoe box).

Hygiene & health return rules
For hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns on underwear, socks or swimwear.

Return responsibility
Returned items are your responsibility until they reach us. Please do make sure they're packed up properly and can't get damaged on the way! We're not responsible for any items that are returned to us by mistake and we do not cover the cost of any returns.

Sale items or offers
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded. 

Faulty items
When returning items that are faulty or damaged you must provide Us with the original order number, your name, contact details and a description of the fault or issue, our Customer Support team will then advise on the next steps ASAP for you.

Additional information

It can take up to 3 working days for a return to be processed once we have received your package should you choose to send it back to us.

Refunds are made to the original method of payment (NZD). Refunds for international ordrers are processed in the same currency and method used to purchase, using regularly updated exchange rates. Banks and international credit/debit card issuers will determine exchange rates. 

Unless Customer Services tells you otherwise, Fortmens will not ask for and you should not provide any payment details, including credit or debit card numbers, in order to process your return and refund your order.
